In Greek mythology, a hippocamp is a fantastical sea beast that is half fish, half horse, and they were the steeds that pulled Neptune (or Poseidon’s) chariot. The Greeks believed that hippocampi were the adults forms of the sea horse fish. In Latin, hippocampi literally means crooked horses.

15 × 11 inches, mixed media (oil pastels, colored pencils, liquid gold and copper leaf, and gold paint on Canson paper.
