Marvellous! As you may know, 10/6 means ten shillings and sixpence. This was the price of the hat. After our currency was decimalised, ten shillings became fifty pence. Fifty pence will only buy a small bar of chocolate today – oh how money has changed :)
Yes, I read about that when I was researching the character. I very loosely drew this based off of my husband’s head. I had him wear a top hat and took some snaps for reference. The final picture does not really look like him, although they have similar hair (but not blue!) lol.
