The Gold Bird

A phoenix is a mythical firebird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet symbolizing rebirth.

This artwork is a mixed media creation with gold acrylic paint, embossed decorative paper, oil pastels, woodless colored pencils, marker pens, paint pens and black sharpie on Canson paper. Original measures about 12.5×19 inches.

    Thanks Stephen. I was working on the March Hare at the same time so you’ll see an overlap in some techniques there as well. I’ll probably have that up tomorrow.

    Great work.I have the same problem with metallics in my work as I use interference medium acrylics.Never quite as intense as the eye can see. But still a great work of art.Well done.
