Puppy Love

This is our little girl, Sunshine, and the puppy next door, Ollie. They are both Maltese…about 2 years old…and best friends! They were roughhousing by our front door when I took this picture.

O.K….now I get it!!! With people using different names on the sites, it doesn’t always come together right away for me! Plus, I didn’t realize that the two of you are twins…now I’ll have to go have a “double-take” at your pictures!!! I still try to check in at WS once in a while…but RB has become my favorite site! This is absolutely darling. I am the host of Mans Best Friend Group and going thru the images cleaning up the pages and pages of images and ran across this. Fantastic capture. I’d love to know what efffects/filters you used on this. It looks wonderful.

Thanks, Cheri! No effects or filters used. This was just a lucky shot of the 2 puppies roughhousing on my parent’s front porch! I happened to catch them as they were standing & balancing against each other.

Oh, how cute! It’s funny that your neighbor would have the exact breed of dog that you have and about the same age! Nice shot.

Thanks! Actually, our neighbors fell so in love with our Sunshine that they went out and bought two of their own….a male (pictured here) and a female! The really are all such adorable little dogs!!!

Oh, that explains it! How big do they get and how much do they weigh when full-grown?

I think Maltese range in size from about 4 lbs to upwards of 15 lbs. Sunshine is small, but compact, weighing about 9 1/5 lbs, while my good friend has one that looks similar, but weighs only about 4 1/5 lbs. I guess that hair (my friend keeps her dog’s hair grown out long) provides a lot of fluff, but not much weight!!
