The historic Dunedin railway station was deserted when I visited early one morning. The Taieri Gorge Railway train was sitting patiently waiting for tourists to arrive later in the day and two diesel locomotives appeared to be keeping guard. Railway stations have always intrigued me because of the architecture, along with the size and power of the trains.
