Potential Pumpkin Soup by Lynda Robinson

Pastel on Mi Teinte ‘Tex’ Paper (Burgundy) 75cm x 55cm

I propped these items up on the cupboard which stands in front of my studio window and have spent the past week working on it. There is something very soothing about ‘Still Life’, and I thoroughly enjoyed creating this one. I thought the garlic would be hard to do, but the potatoes turned out to be the most difficult objects!!! (Thanks to MrsWillow, Lorenzo Castello and Mick Kupresanin for their invaluable advice after I sent them photos of the work in progress).

Here is a photo of the WIP on my easel.

Looks good enough to eat, Lynda! Those blue pumpkins are the best and you’ve got all the other right ingredients! Did you end up cooking them? :)george

  • You are so right – those blue pumpkins are pretty good George, although I am partial to the ‘Butternut’ too! Parts of this pumpkin ended up in a roast, and the rest is now soup which I put in the freezer!!!! LOL!
