‘The Gentle Rain’ – finished
The Gentle Rainby Lynda Robinson
I am a pastel artist living in country Victoria, Australia. My subjects vary, ranging from landscapes, portraiture, animal studies, figurative, life drawing, still life and I find the challenge of painting water particularly enjoyable.
Looks like a lot of hard work Lynda, the result was stunning. (when I read “Leaves Work in Progress”, I expected a post about procrastination… ;)
Ha Ha Ha! Thanks for the brilliant comment Matt. The WIP has been lolling around as a ‘private view’ in my portfolio, but I thought someone might be interested, so I hit the ‘public view’ button!

Oh wow, the master can’t go wrong. Stunning even in it’s half finished state!
Thank you so much Tash.
This is a fantastic one…Very interesting to see how you went about it…and a good size too….
Thanks heaps Malcolm.
ok mrs show off! Just kidding, its wonderful work, I noticed the ipad in there.. what sort of music do you listen to when you are in full artistic flow?!?! :)) xx
Ha Ha! You always make me smile Ms. Riddy! When in full artistic flow I have mainly classical blaring. I am particularly fond of Mozart, and I also love to listen to Pavarotti – particularly his ‘duets’. Sometimes I am in the mood for heavy rock, and I am a Springsteen fan too. What about you lovey???
Amazing….beautiful….stunning…are just some descriptive words that come to mind, non of which do your work even a small amount of justice!!!!!
Awww Carol! what a lovely thing to say!!!! Thank you very much indeed.
Stunning work, Lynda. The leaves look so 3-dimensional.
Hi Marsha and thanks for the wonderful comment.
Thank you for posting this Lynda. It is interesting to see the actual size of the painting. The raindrops are lovely and as always the lighting is beautiful :) x
