Sooooo life like Lynda…the eyes…the nose"…magical!
Thanks heaps Cathy. I was very apprehensive when I started, as I always do with a commission, but he flowed off my pastels relatively easily! The eyes were the tricky part, and the beard was the fun part!
The minute I saw Smithy, I knew he was yours! So beautifully done, Lynda!
Ha Ha! Thanks for the great comment Pat.
Very impressive…. just love the ruddy red flesh tones and then the bold deep red of the shirt and then contrast them with the excellent details of his hair. Like I said , Very impressive.
Thanks for the wonderful comment Jim. I will be doing an ‘unveiling’ of Smithy in his workplace at the (Country Fire Authority) next Tuesday, so I will let you know how it goes, and I will post a photo of him with the painting.

Hi Ainslie. I am glad you like the red and green, ’cos I do too! He was wearing a red shirt when he posed, so the ideal colour to complement it was green. Thanks for the lovely comment.
Brilliant portrait Lynda!
Thank you very much indeed Terri.
Outstanding portrait Lynda, he should be very happy with this.
I hope he will be happy! I will be ‘unveiling’ it in his workplace next Tuesday, so I will post a photo of him with the portrait after that. Thanks for the great comment.
