Pastel on Mi Teinte ‘Tex’ Paper – (beige)
This is a stretch of the Goulburn River which runs along the back of Emily Street, Seymour. I used a beige coloured paper and I’m not sure whether I will use it again! I felt as though I was struggling against the paper the whole way through this painting, but in the end I was reasonably happy with the result.
The water is unusually ‘muddy’ at the moment. It is normally much clearer, but this year we have had a lot of rain, and the water colour is due to the topsoil washing into the river.
