I am a pastel artist living in country Victoria, Australia. My subjects vary, ranging from landscapes, portraiture, animal studies, figurative, life drawing, still life and I find the challenge of painting water particularly enjoyable.
Majestic alright!! This is a beautiful study of our River Redgums…. love the blues in the shadow areas…. : ))
Thank you for your lovely comment Jenny! You are very quick off the mark this evening!

Great Redgums. I remember seeing those when I was in Seymour. A colony of Koalas lived in them.

Thanks heaps neogolas. The painting looks a bit better than this photo! It looks a bit ‘messy’ on here!!! LOL!
This is so beautiful. I love trees. Well done for working over Easter.
Thank you Scallyart. I enjoyed doing this one….
great lines and colours Lynda
Well hello there Phil! Great to hear from you and thanks for your lovely comment.
beautiful colours lynda. are most of your fine lines and highlighting done with pastel pencils? xx
Hi Ms. Riddy. No – I didn’t use any pastel pencils with this one. The fine lines are just the edge of the rounded end of the pastel. The Unison pastels seem easier to ‘control’.
WOW, I just love all that reflected light Lynda, well observed. M
Thanks for your great ocmment Michael.
