Pastel on burgundy Colourfix paper – 80cm x 40cm

Ghin Ghin is an area of Victoria between Highlands and Yea. At certain locations on the Ghin Ghin Road you can view these amazing vistas, and on this particular day the scudding clouds were making shadows on the landscape. It was just begging to be painted!!!!

another beautiful one Lynda … this has such a lovely wavy rhythm …

  • Yes I was getting a bit ‘landsick’ swooping up and down. I am not happy with the quality of this photo! The original painting is not as bright as this. I might take another photo and try to upload a better image later…….

I love this Lynda! I really like the brightness. It reminds me of those warm, cloudy, humid days when the sun comes out and seems very bright after the cloud cover.

  • A bit like today Sandra!

The feeling of those cloud shadows as they glide over those hills and hollows of the landscape are just so wonderful. Good job!

  • Many thanks Randy.

Wow!! Lynda, Firstly, congratulations on your feature!! This a fabulous painting! Again the colours are so vibrant and warm. Even tho I dont know this area personally, it seems you have captured its very essence. Your work on the clouds and how they hug the landscape, is nothing short of amazing! Well done my friend.

  • You are ever so ever so good to me Paul!!!!
Thanks for a really lovely comment. The clouds were great fun. I used 5 colours to do them.
