Another stunner Lynda! I like the slightly looser treatment in this piece – especially the foliage top left and the receding bank top right. Lovely work as always… =D

  • Thanks for another great comment Cobby!

    Yes I favoured it
Yes I think it is another absolutely Gorgeous & stunning piece
But No I am not going to write a huge poem about the serenity and the challenge and the peace and the beauty of this place nor about my longing to be there
Nor am I going to waffle on about how this peace speaks to me of all these things ….. Ok I am lol
But you just have to understand!
I love the bush and I love how you paint it so perfectly!
    Gorgeous just gorgeous!
    Chookas! ♥

  • Many thanks Alyssa. I love your comments. (I found a subject for that ‘flower’ painting today, which I have yet to do for you and Hidemi)! Gotta capture it before it disappears – a lovely little wild orchid in the bush!!!!

You very nicely lead the eye through this work by bringing us to an almost blinding light all the way down to beautiful greenery and amazing us with wonderful details in a inviting dark pool of water. A+ on the composition, Lynda.
And of course the quality of the pastel work is the same high quality that is in all your work.

  • What an amazing comment Jim! Thank you so much! Yes, the light was very intense at the top of the very high background hill, but calmer in the valley of the Howqua, and it was difficult to get that contrast. I am so pleased to see that you picked it up!!!! I really struggled with the foliage for awhile, but I was happy with it in the end. (The water and the rocks were an absolute breeze)!

I wait for your floral with baited breath! =0þ

  • LOL! The little orchids are springing up all over the place, and they don’t last long, so I am hoping for a good day tomorrow to go and ‘tackle’ it. I spotted a few when I was out walking today! Don’t hold your breath! If I stuff it up you might get a marigold in a vase that I ALSO discovered hiding in shame in my archives!!!!! LOL LOL!!!!
