Charcoal on textured pastel paper – 50cm x 35cm
The reference for this charcoal drawing was a very old and very small black & white photo taken on one of those old Box Brownie cameras!!!! The ‘binder’ operator is a friend’s grandfather and the property where this harvest is taking place is called ‘Fairlight’, at Milbrulong in New South Wales.
I did this drawing in 1992 and it won a major award at the Royal Melbourne Show. (Another version of this drawing ended up in Washington).
