Introducing leggings. Step into a world of stunning designs.

Charcoal on textured pastel paper – 50cm x 35cm

The reference for this charcoal drawing was a very old and very small black & white photo taken on one of those old Box Brownie cameras!!!! The ‘binder’ operator is a friend’s grandfather and the property where this harvest is taking place is called ‘Fairlight’, at Milbrulong in New South Wales.

I did this drawing in 1992 and it won a major award at the Royal Melbourne Show. (Another version of this drawing ended up in Washington).

Beautiful Lynda! It is easy to see why this one won a major award! I think this was sold before I got to see it in real life.

  • I ‘borrowed’ this one back just today Sandra, so that I could take a photo for RB. It was like visiting an old friend!!!!

i,ve allready read that book …not getting the game televised in tassie..instaed would u believe it they’ve replayed the 06 pre final …when ur great president ran across bukkenara’s mark and cost them the game !

  • That is TERRIBLE that it is not being televised in Taz and you are getting an ancient replay! What is going on Phil??? Pete (hubby) says to tell you the Mighty Dees collapsed ‘cos they were ’tanking’ after half time!!!!

Your skill amazes me. I am sure this brings the photgraph really to life

  • Many thanks Picketty. The photo was very much for ‘reference’ only. No equipment in 1992 to even make it larger!!!! I must have had much better eyesight then!!!!

Looks so good, congrats on your award. This would be a nice addition to the Everything Draft Horse & Carriage Group if you have time to add it there.

  • I didn’t know about that group. I will check it out Louise.
