Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) – 70cm x 50cm
This is another angle of the old historic Northwood bridge, constructed of redgum timber. The passage of time has taken it’s toll! The bridge t is located near Seymour in Victoria, Australia. The title applies to both the bridge and the wet substance beneath it!!!! Although it would seem there is not much need for the bridge anymore just to cross that small puddle that is meant to be a flowing creek, it is doubtful that it will be standing for much longer!!!! I loved the colours in the shadows cast across the dry creek bed during my favourite time of day for painting – late afternoon.
