Pastel on Canson paper (gold – smooth side) – 35cm x 50cm

The gold colour of the paper worked really well to give ‘warmth’ to this painting. I did this in the woolshed of a local property – ‘Denallabar ’ – (the name is on the wool bale by the door). The working dogs are ’Sally’ and ‘Kitch’, patiently waiting to get the next ‘run’ of sheep in for the shearers.

This is gorgeous Lynda and I thought for a moment it was our Shearing Shed you had captured i this wonderful piece of Art.

  • Thanks Noelene. Shearing sheds do have great character don’t they, and this is a fairly old one with the lovely rustic boards and timber yards.

Lovely chalking, Lynda, again you prove your status at the top of the heap. But I am curious…which of the “working” dogs handles the broom? :))

  • The broom was my mode of transport to get there Les!!!!

beautiful, and i like the tension created by the dogs…. will they stay, or will they go….., and when!!!!

  • They were just waiting waiting patiently to be called to round up the next mob.
