'Shelley Beach' - Apollo Bay by

Pastel on Colourfix paper, 70cm x 50cm

Did this painting in 2006 during our annual trip to the beach. It was a very windy/stormy day and the ocean was quite turbulent!!!!

Sunny, lots of action and beautifully painted as always Lynda.

I do hope things are getting better for you regarding the fires.

Hope you don’t mind me asking, but I know RB has a problem and is not getting everything uploaded to all those who have the sender on their watchlist. I’m trying to find out how extensive it is, so can you tell me if you got my last image of a dog?

  • Hi Brian – it is wonderful to hear from you. The fires have settled around here and are ‘contained’. Pete was sent to the Alexandra area at 6.00 a.m. this morning, so spending another lonely day!!! Have hardly seen him all week. I didn’t get your image of the dog from my watchlist but have just looked to see it in your gallery. Will send you a b-mail but it is not working at the moment. Sez it will be about an hour.

re colourfix ,,I wish it came in the same size as canson though, the very large one is too large. I never have any success with painting the colourfix paint on paper it seem too rough.

  • Chop the big sheet it in half and use if for two smaller paintings. (Or even chop it in 4). When painting it onto paper myself I drop blobs of the colourfix gesso stuff onto the paper then spread it around with a paint roller which I keep dampening. This makes it easier to apply and gives a smoother surface.
