The End of the Day
Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) – 70cm x 50cm
There are many of these magnificent River Red Gum trees in the area of the Goulburn River, near Seymour, Victoria. This painting was one of the first to sell at my solo exhibition (“My Easel and Eye”) a few years ago. The late evening is my favourite time of day for artwork. The colours become more vibrant and intense at this time of day.

Hi Lynda,
Your at it again. Terrific.
Great light and I like the path . I feel like I’ve lost my golf ball. I’m always in the woods

Lynda Robinson replied
Gotta keep at it Diko! Next time I’m down there I will look for your golf ball, but the golf course is quite a long distance from this spot, so you should be turning pro!!! LOL!

Les Smutz
“Just over the rise dark eyes stare intently beneath a jutting brow as the lone artist packs her belongings; having brilliantly captured forever the beauty of the fading day in minute detail with expert precision. As her auto speeds away in a cloud of dust that lingers over the waters of the Goulburn, the hairy beast steps warily from his hiding place and makes his way among the aging eucalyptus wood to the spot where her easel had made its impression among the forest litter. He pauses there, staring at the ground, then stoops low and delicately traces his index finger over the chalky residue scattered on the ground. The pad of his finger tip is immediately coated with the colorful substance of her pastels and, as he raises it in curiosity to instinctively sniff its scent, he is unaware that he has left a variegated smudge on the end of his nose. He will later suffer endless ridicule from the other members of the tribe, but for now he wonders in his primitive mind about this artist in the mist.”
Excerpt from the book, “Bigfoot in the Australian Outback” unavailable at bookstores everywhere.
