Scattered Showers

Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) – 70cm x 50cm

We are having a few scattered showers here at the moment, which reminded me I had this painting hidden somewhere in my archives! A study of eucalyptus leaves which I painted in 2005 as part of a solo exhibition (My Easel and Eye) which was held at a local winery. The opening was a BLAST! One of the most memorable days of my life!

Wow, it’s amazing how such a simple subject can produce such a complex looking work of art. Both beautifully and skillfully done Lynda. Truly, a gorgeous pastel.

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Thanks so much Jim. I think if I was to be doing this today I would subdue a lot of the background and just ‘feature’ a few leaves in the foreground. I did have fun doing this though.
