Morning Light - Seymour
Pastel on Mein Teintes paper (blue) – 60cm x 35cm
I had to go digging way back into the ‘archives’ to find something involving shadows and sheds for a challenge! I pass this rural scene on my way home from work every day (the cow is not always in the same spot, and they have a few goats now)!!!!
Featured in ‘Mornings & Evenings, Sunbeams & Storms’ group – August 2009
Morning Light - Seymour belongs to the following groups:
Australia! You're Standing In it...., Contemporary Pastel Painters, Hand painted or drawn Buildings and architecture, Landscape Painting, Painted Animals! , Realist Traditional Art and Rural Around The Globe Available for sale asGreeting Cards

beautiful rural scene
Lynda Robinson replied
Thank you so much Mike.
Jim Phillips
That cow probably knew you were an artist and was just waiting to be included in one of your beautiful works. Gorgeous work, well composed Lynda.
Lynda Robinson replied
What a great comment Jim. You are such a generous man and we all LOVE YA! XO
Paul Starkey
Another treasure, Lynda. I wish I had archives that contained such pieces. Wonderful.
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks Paul. It is quite interesting to go delving back into the dark recesses of my computer! Unfortunately the quality of my ‘archived’ works is a bit woeful due to not having a decent camera at the time! I would also do this painting quite differently now.
Mrswillow
Ha ha Jim! You are so right! Everyone knows Lynda is an artist..including Mrs Moo.
Lynda is a well known and well loved local artist whose works are admired by all.
Lynda Robinson replied

Oooooops! Something new…...well, old, but new. Great cow!! You know what is really great in this painting ( besides the cow )....well it’s all beautiful. But, the grass….the pasture is really superb. You do SUPERB grass. Great painting Lyndy. You were good even in the “way-back” machine. ( Rocky and Bullwinkle Show )

Brian Towers
What an industrious girl you are Lynda. You give the impression that these paintings are so easy and you knock ‘em off in no time. They obviously take a lot of time and talent and every one is hugely successful.
Lynda Robinson replied
Well this one is an oldie Brian. Circa 2003 or even earlier! Thanks for a great comment once again. I have just finished a new one today, so I might upload it a bit later. Great to hear from you my Geordie mate with a posh accent! (Dave told me that)!
Simon Aberle
Wow Lynda this is so beautiful!
This captivated me and inspired me yet again.
You must have such an extensive portfolio to be able to ‘dig’ this out of your archives! Very impressive!!
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks Simon. Glad to be inspirational!!!! (You make me smile)!!! I didn’t realise how many paintings I’d done until I joined RB and had to go through ‘em! (There are heaps that came and went and never even got photographed too – lots of oils – wonder where they are now?)!
Linda Callaghan
yes and a Wow from me too Lynda…your pastel work is perfection …beautiful scene and beautifully painted…looking forward to seeing more…....
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks lovely Linda with an eye! Finished a new one today. Will upload it when I get it outta the camera. I think I will have to remove some soon as the ‘pages’ are getting a bit too extensive.
Elaine Green

ISMAIL ALAOUI ...
lynda, no way :::)
you got to teach me, this,
i think you are the only one so far that made me say inside of me, i can’t do like that,
even paul jackson couldn’t,! you are superb, the light the color tone, the foggy blur, the energy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the energy in your drawing its the key
that mean you have a good spirit, its maybe because you leave in the nature so your soul isn’t damaged as citizens, your drawings are so intense;, your spirit is in it :))))))))))))))))))
Lynda Robinson replied
Goodness me Ismail! I cannot cope with so much praise!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful comment.
Colombe Cambo...
I’d love to pass this place on my way home every day!!! You have captured such a serene scene, it makes me want to move to the country.
Beautifully done Lynda as usual (I don’t think there can be anything that you mess up), your art teaches me so much (I enlarge the pictures and look at them for ages to soak up your technique….). Wonderful, wonderful
Hugs
Lynda Robinson replied
Many thanks Colombe. On my way home this evening there was the most WONDERFUL painting!!! The mist was just floating above the paddocks in the area before I got to the river, and there was still a hint of pale sunlight! It was amazingly beautiful! I wanted to stop and drink it in, but I had to keep going! I must go back at the same time of day while this misty weather is around….
maria paterson
this is such a beautiful light in this, excellent work
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks so much Maria.

I could sit and stare at your art all day long and feel peaceful bliss!
One day may I curl up in your studio and do just that?
If I die soon I would wish to come back as your ginger studio cat!
I’d be happy then!
Chookas! xX♥☼♥Xx
[You could call me that! – what say I get you a little ginger cat for your studio & you can call her/him Chookas! ♥]
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks for another wonderful comment Adgray. I might pass on the ginger cat though as my old Tabby (Jeffrey) would NOT be happy with an intruder! Not to mention Merv the Bird! He would be hyperventilating!!!!
