Good grief!!!! Is there no end to the tide of perfection that flows from your fingers?? I see little point in the continuance of my meager endeavors in the face of this proliferation of exquisite chalkiness!!! Just kidding about that part…we all do our bit, eh? Jeez! What can I do but continue to bow and scrape in humility?

I do like these backlit scenes; difficult to paint (for me anyway) but most effective.

This is the sort of atmospheric painting that makes you smell the bush in your nostrils, feel the cool air on your skin and almost hear the crunch of the leaves underfoot. Just superb Lynda!

i must have missed this one lynda, so atmospheric and so true… i loved these kinds of morning in the Victorian bush many years ago…. I am not sure i appreciated them enough then, I shall have to make a HUGE effort to get back to oz and have a look at it again!!! beautiful work lynda xxxx. a total fave!!

now let me see, it was when the old queen was on the throne!!! Actually we were £10 poms way back in 1969, we went to melbourne, had a lovely house just outside eltham, real edge of the bush and on the side of a hill, a beautiful spot. my mum hated it so we came back (i was about 18) in 1971 i think it was. My uncle is still out there in nsw, and i have a cousin who is a brilliant artist who is also in nsw. I have a sneaky feeling that my hubby and i will be going out for a trip in a year or so. so i shall have to look in and say hello!!!!!

When I was there it was not arty at all, it was hardly anything really, the most interesting thing was the RSL i think. when i look at google maps and see how its developed its quite mind blowing….. we actually lived in Research a little gathering of houses a few miles outside eltham, now its totally full of houses by comparison…..
