Gorgeous Lynda….we have an area here called the Blue Mountain…this puts me in mind of it…

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Thank you Janis. Today it looks nothing like this! Today it is very bright, dry and dusty and 38 degrees!

what stunning colours. those gorgeous hues of blue and purple are wonderful. and what a fabulous place you must live in!

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Thank you Marion. I am very lucky to live here in virtual isolation, yet not too far from ‘civilisation’. I have a wonderful view across a valley to the Tallarook Ranges. I have done many paintings of this place, but I haven’t uploaded them (yet)!

    Hi Linda,

your work is just lovely and I clearly you are a natural….
    your porraits are stunning too!
You should really think about working toward the Archibald next year! you would be a natural….

Also, please consider Germany…. I think your portrayal of the Northern Victorian Countryside would I’m sure be a winner in Europe…

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Why goodness me Raven5! I just don’t know what to say! I really don’t think I am at ‘Archibald’ standard, but feel very flattered that you think I could be. I will treasure this comment!!!!!

O.K. Lynda bestus!! Another beautiful atmospheric painting of this beautiful part of the state….great work.
I read that comment about the Archibald! What about aiming for that and /or The Doug Moran? You can do it!

Love the title as much as the painting Lynda; the winter blues is very cheering. I see you favour what I’m sure is strong cobalt blue. Wise choice seeing the results you come up with. Rather than sitting out there in the cool of early morning, I guess you do as I do and work from your own photos, but whichever, you do a great job.

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Thank you so much Brian. It is always a pleasure to receive your comment.

  • bevmorgan

    bevmorgan

A stunningly beautiful painting, Lynda. Your colours just sing in this wonderful piece and the scenery is breathtaking. Love that blue!

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Thank you very much Bev. The blue seems to be attracting a few comments, which is quite interesting because I thought it was maybe a bit too ‘strong’. I sold the painting a few months ago to some Americans!

i’m sure you see beauty from your own special angle
and i like it so much
i wish i could express it more deeply

Thank you for a truly wonderful and generous comment Ismail. Will send you a bmail soon…......

  • ISMAIL ALAOUI ABDALLAOUI

    ISMAIL ALAOUI ...

    i see
you use hyper hot colors, purple
and you work on a higher color saturation departing from your original photo or landscape,
but still its your beautiful spirit that show this life on your works

  • Kate Eller

    Kate Eller

Awwwww Ismail says it so well….so poetically. I think he is a born poet as well as an artist….....and I think he is taking notes. Are you taking notes Ismail? He has it all right though Lynda. Your paintings have to come from your soul. You love that beautiful land and aren’t you so lucky to live there? What a scene, and what magic you create when you paint those scenes…...Queenie

  • Lynda Robinson replied

Hi Kate!!!! I love this comment!!!! You are so right about Ismail – he leaves the most poetic and wonderful comments and so do you!!!

  • Jim Phillips

    Jim Phillips

Well between Ismail and Kate, I don’t know what to say that at this point wouldn’t sound cheesy. lol Seriously, I wouldn’t disagree with a thing either of them wrote, Lynda. You are an artist that obviously creates from the soul and it comes bursting though on each of your works with such a high standard of quality. This one is gorgeous as are all your works.

  • Lynda Robinson replied

You do make me laugh Jim!!!! Thanks for the ‘un-cheesey’ comment my good friend!

    Another one I missed
I love the soft tones to this Lynda
What you call a cool, misty, moisty morning would be a
warm hazy summer’s day to us

  • Lynda Robinson replied 25 days ago

I dunno about the warm, hazy summer’s day remark Mike! It gets pretty nippy here in the winter too! Many thanks for another great comment my friend.
