This is a really interesting composition Lynda! I love how the chooks (and the light areas) lead the viewer towards an intrigueing distance beyond the screen of trees.Beautiful!
Lynda Robinson replied
Thank you very much Sandra. I think if I was doing something similar today, my proportions would be better! I have learned a bit since I did this painting in the 90’s!

What a fun image Lynda. Love the dance of dark and light.

Just great-and yes, the eye is led off to the disance…almost seems the roosters and chickens are in a magical, free land; i.e. “free range?”
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks Randi – none of my ‘chooks’ will know the indignity of being ‘caged’!

What a wonderful image. When I look at this painting, I feel as if I am right there and it takes me back to when I raised chickens. It was such a special time for me. Fresh eggs every day and little chicks in the Springtime. Great memories.
Lynda Robinson replied
What a really lovely comment Marjorie! Thank you very much for taking the time to leave it for me, and for your interest in my work and my ‘chookies’!
