This is a great painting Lynda. The shadow of the tree coming across the water
works really well. Looks like a great spot to paint. I also like the distance through the scrub in the background.
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks for the great comment. It is hard for me to describe the beauty of this area, but I have made numerous paintings of it. There really is a painting in every direction you look.
richiedean
its easy to see that you’re ‘at one’ with the landscape Lynda. As a fellow camper I can understand that bond….......
Beautiful work …................... :))
Lynda Robinson replied
Thank you for a lovely comment Richie. You would LOVE to camp in this area. Other paintings I have done not far from this spot are ‘Above Hughes Creek’, ‘Good Morning Billy Hill’, and ‘Hughes Creek Ripples’.

This water is really flowing….I feel like scooping a handful and drinking it…it looks so good
Lynda Robinson replied
Fantastic comment Mick! You would love this place. It is one of the most magnificent, secluded,, painterly areas of Northern Vic. The water in Hughes Creek is always warm and clear, and the bottom of the creek is sandy. Aren’t we just the luckiest people to live in such a beautiful country???

Another superb pastel, Lynda! The predominantly red light, conveys, heat and dryness of that parched world. The rippling sky blue reflection n the precious water, and the smooth rocks, are especially realistic.
Lynda Robinson replied
Thanks for a fantastic comment Colin.
