This portrait is just stunning and the colour combinations (especially in the clothing) is brilliant!

I take it that he is your partner? Actually, I’ve been thinking along the same lines with my husband, an ex cowboy, and man of the land. Ready made subjects to pose for rural paintings.

It works really well though, what with drought, etc. I think people probably expect a man on the land to look pretty serious, it can be pretty stressful at times. He looks dignified anyway, someone who would be respected. I like that.

You have a real talent for capturing the vibe of the people you portray, Lynda. Love your ability to pull together harmonious color schemes. If this were Zazzle, I’d give you 5 STARS! on all your portraits. : >)
