My aunts, Beverly and Bonnie, have been my inspiration for photography. Even though they are sisters, they both have a unique style of shooting. Thus, I formed an interest in photography for myself.
I started on my photographic journey in 2010 after I graduated college. My parents gave me a Nikon D90 for graduation. I was thrilled! Now, with a little over 4 years experience, I have shot for a local Magazine called Tops in Lexington, and their sister magazine LexScene. I have also been featured in the Blood Horse Magazine, Horse and Rider, and Western Horseman. In 2012, I received my first ever magazine cover, on America’s Horse with a photo of Dan James at Taylor Made Farm in Lexington. I am currently working for Taylor Made Sales Agency as the full-time Equine Photographer. We are a large Thoroughbred sales consignor and Thoroughbred farm in the heart of the Bluegrass state. I shoot with a Nikon D1, D2, and D4 camera. I love every minute of it because I get to do what I love (taking photos) and also merge it with my roots in agriculture and farm life. At 25 years of age, I am blessed.
