Beauty and Beast
One of my girlfriends and her husband were born in the year of the “Tiger” (Chinese horoscope). When I finished the “Power Struggle” wood burning piece, I wanted give her a print for her birthday. She did not like it. Maybe she hates the idea of two tigers fighting. After I completed the “Beauty and Beast”, I thought she would like that one better. Guess what! She refused to have that one as well.
When I showed this painting to another friend, she said: “Wow, great! A beauty playing the flute can make a tiger listen; we should try this on men.” In fact, my original thought is that the world is magnificent. No matter whether human being or animal, we can all share this space together.
