I have loved photography since I was a teenager. My mother was a painter and printmaker and she took me to museum after museum in New York City where I grew up. I came to love modern art, particularly cubism, and see echoes of this and other styles in my work. At the end of my college years I almost decided to go into photography, but I only wanted to take art shots rather than do commercial work and was not confident I could support myself that way. Now at a crossroads career-wise, I am considering finally going into photography as I dreamed of doing so many years ago.
