I work as a physician taking care of university students but I have loved photography since I was a teenager. My mother was a painter and printmaker and she took me to museum after museum in New York City where I grew up. I came to love modern art, particularly cubism, and see and see echoes of this and other styles in my work. At the end of my college years I almost decided to go into photography rather than medicine but I only wanted to take art shots rather than do commercial work and was not confident I could support myself that way. I have unfortunately been too busy to exhibit my work very much over the years but plan to do so more and more from this point on.
