Lightning at the Rocks
Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20mm
2 second exposure @ f16
Contrast, Darks and Saturation adjusted in Adobe Lightroom
Everyone has been posting cool shots from the storms the other night, well then i may as well post my take.
I bumped into Mr John Conway while at the dog rocks, and we both fired off a few shots and packed up before we got zapped. Out in a field with a tripod when the lightning seems to be getting closer? Yeah, i didn’t want to stick around much longer.
Thanks for looking

Far Out Luka, this was so worth it, magnificent angry sky with those two lightening strikes and the lovely light on the mountain, love the rocks in the foreground leading to all this explosion. well done.

Great shot Luka You’re braver than me, if I can’t pull the car up and sit in the back safely, I don’t bother, you wouldn’t catch me out in the open trying to catch it!

Beautiful shot – those little metal tripods make great lightning conductors – they just scream out “hit me”. But it was all worthwhile … and you survived!
