Harbor Sunset cruise shot – with Nikon D5000, 10-24mm at 24mm

Do not usually do this popular by many type of processing, but because boat was moving fast, bracketing could not use in this time. In CaptureNX duplicate 5 images and created 5 raw images (-2,-1,0,1,2) and processed with Photomatix, then back to Capture NX for future adjustments

Stunning lighting……..the color is amazing and such a lovely capture !!

  • thank you Sean, I am glad that you like it. Ship was so full, that was hard to get a spot for taking photos, specially with wide angel lenses, which I decided to use.

Wow that’s impressive Luda, and an impressive way to use HDR with 1 shot – guess it makes sense really. Such an expressive photograph. Well done for being invited to enter the Amazing Art Award too!

  • Hi Sean. Shooting against of sun creates such a deep contrast. and bracketing are impossible, not only hand hold , but also hi speed boat ride. The only thing which I did different from others RedBubbles which I know, I saved all adjusted images in Raw which is possible in CaptureNX. thanks

Yes well however you did it, you did it well. It’s an outstanding image Luda. Great location – I have been there in the mid 90’s and really loved the city. Was looking for the ‘tea party’ but everyone seemed to be drinking coffee LOL!!!!

  • thanks , I have a lot of images from this 1.5 hours cruise, but no time to processed them. I shoot all only in raw, no more JPG at all, so it’s take time to convert them. Tomorrow PhotoWalk, I sign up to go with group of 50 photographers in Boston, hopefully will be more shots also.
