All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and Melbourne & VictoriaTeacher says
feel the flow
be like the water
over rock
And I try, I try, I try
to be like the breeze
hardly rattling the trees
I bend but won’t break
I give but don’t take
to become
the
uncarved
not quite anything
yet
But the iron in my blood
It says
you are molten
you are melted
you are metal
you are
liquid
fire
And I cannot
still the flame
with the water I’m supposed to be
I cannot keep the temperature
calm
It bleeds into my hair
it gets everywhere
and when I pull the strings of my chi tight
tight chi
I feel the heat of the
boiling
toiling
bubbles
under the clear and tranquil blue
So it isn’t a surprise, not really
when I lay a questioning hand
upon my master’s sleeve
and burn it off
But he looks at me, with wide dark pools
of inner peace
and suddenly
smiles
Child
you are the river that burns
the opposite turns
the whole of the whole
and the nothing as well
And I don’t remember telling you
that the water had to be cold.

This is spiritual essence and so glorious of you, to write….for in doing so, you share in a human quandary and go on to resolve…
