This is part of a series that I made for a table top picture book. ‘Wonder’ and ‘Fool’ are actually a pair, and ‘Hope’ is another image from the same book. All of them were created with my usual foolproof method of blundering my way through as many mistakes as I can fit in, all the while throwing in as many mediums as possible to add to the confusion.

Medium: Charcoal, acetate, acrylic, digital. And a photocopier. Don’t ask.

Your whole portfolio has a distinct style that really works. This particular image jumps out at me for it’s texture and colour palate. Well done. I look forward to seeing what else you create

  • I don’t think I ever thanked you for this compliment. I’m sorry, and thank you, it means a lot to me that you think so, and well done back at you, for all of your fantastic work =)

Sometimes when I’m not trying hard some really interesting images emerge from just brief drawings in my sketchbook. Magic little moments. This seems like one of them to me Lucky. I love the scratched or erased marks especially.. nice work!
