Watercolor Ink and watercolor 20 × 30″

Pet portraits have been a specialty of mine for 15 years. Each and every wonderful animal I have had the privilage to paint, finds a place in my heart. It is a great compliment to receive a commission with all the wonderful animal artists people have to pick from.

This is adorable, Pat, and so reflects the opportunist behavior of one of our dogs. Forbidden to be on the sofa, he always opts for the “easier to ask forgiveness than permission” attitude, and quickly leaps down and tries to portray a nonchalant position on the floor when he hears one of us coming down the stairs. He is so comical that it’s hard to stay unhappy with him. Thanks for this fun reminder! ~ Pat

You have such a wonderful use of color. It’s a testament to your work that I enjoy your portfolio, even though the subject of pets and animals doesn’t really interest me. I love your paintings of crows especially, but this one is a beauty.
