we have no snow here now .. it rained and its all gone !

Im really busy these days getting ready for Christmas and shopping & cooking cleaning ..all that stuff BLAH .. I hate shopping !

    Shopping can be stressful, but think of the smiles and appreciation you’ll get in a week or two..then it’ll be back to the same old grind.

    this is a beautiful photo Elaine. There is still time for shopping :-)) sorry to hear about your kitty. My daughter has one in the hospital too with an unknown illness, so that adds to stress at this time of year. Hopefully they will all be OK,,,,,,,hugs

    thanks so much Vickie .. xx yes it is stressful … you literally have to change your hours to accomadate the hours for insulin shots … I have to be home at a certain time .. thats hard at this time of year

    Lovely scene and wonderful colours. Sorry about the kitty, he’ll get used to it even if you don’t. How do you tell if a kitten goes hypo?

    thanks jacqi .. if they are starting to go into a hypoclyemic mode .. they will be doing several different things ..howling is one … my cat does that .. I give him a glucose mixure .. his glucose sugar count today at the vets was 17 ..it should be between 4 -7

    here are the signs
    lethargy, lack of energy, sleepiness, difficulty in waking, sleeping or hiding in unusual places
    tilting or swaying, head or body, glassy eyes
    weakness, appearing drunk, staggering, falling over
    hunger
    restlessness, pacing, abnormal crying or howling
    shivering, cold
    disoriented, non responsive, convulsions or seizures
    coma, unconsciousness
    vomiting

    Just like a human (me!) then!! But the thought of trying to spot it in a cat and keep the balance right is so daunting. It’s difficult enough for me to do it and I know why I have to eat/not eat, inject etc or what is happening to me but your poor kitty doesn’t have a clue why he feels awful. Such a shame.

    Hi jacqi ..yep they are just like us .. they get Diabetes and have to have insuli shots .. he is very good about it tho .. he gets up on my bed sits down on his “special” pillow and waits for his shot ….. of course thats all for a treat lol
