I ran into this guy as well .. he was looking for berries …. there is nothing greater then seeing animals in the wild !!! its such a rush !

okkk well I was out for one of a black bear Mien … not by choice .. I was photographing a rainbow and he was on the side that I didnt see .. I took off for the car real fast lol

hi George ..no I dont think he did see us ..he just kept walking on his way looking for something ..not human hopefully hehe..I think that they see cars stopping at times on the road and if no one bothers them ..they dont bother them … no cubs were with him or her so that was a plus .. I was probably 20 feet about ..thanks for looking

I am glad Australia doesn’t have Bears. I think our crocidiles ate them all LOL. Bears or Crocs it is wise to keep our distance. Nice photo Lucinda. Cheers!

me too but I have another shot of a black bear were I wasnt in the car but chasing a rainbow and he was on the side of me off to the side a bit .. it didnt take long for me to run to the car tho lol

No wonder this was featured, it’s gorgeous! What a powerful and magnificent animal they are and you have captured that very well with this shot. I hope you had a lot of zoom going on because you look a little too close for comfort! Sort of a close encounter of the bear kind…LOL

Hi laurie … I live in Toronto Canada ….. other side of Canada to British Columbia .. I was on vacation there … I wasnt hiking .. he was on the side of a road by the mountains. as we drove by … there are lots of wildlife that you can see at times on the roadside ..especially Elk and Mountain Sheep ..thanks for looking :)
