Watercolour Painted on Bockingfords 140lb Not, Using Winsor & Newtons Watercolours.

Painted from Life.

blue, daffodils, danelion, flowers, greetings card, still life, vase, watercolour, yellow

I love watercolour, the way the pigment moves across the paper it’s just so magical, leaving the most wonderful fusions of colour.
I have learned to lay the pigment & let it go and do what it wants.
There is no greater reward than to receive recognition for something you have created on a piece of paper using pigment, water & one’s imagination.
George Bernard Shaw once said “You use a mirror of glass to see yourself, you use Art to see your soul“.

    pretty and fresh..a lovely watercolour

  • Linda thank you so much. I set this still up in my garden, The sun was shinning down and the light was perfect. I think this shows in the painting, a little different form my norm.

I really like the vase in this. It is my favorite part of the piece. Very excellently composed.

  • Hi Ken thank you for the wonderful comment. I agree with you i love the vase also, In real life it is actually Brown Glass. God alone knows where the blue came from, maybe a little DEVINE intervention.
