Oh this is an amazing painting..so much to comprehend..the contrasting colors depicting suffering with the red ..and the dark night terrors wow!! ;) Val hugzz

about the nightmares..yeah..some of..
but there are very comfortable figures also..
see the hero and her dog that comes to her..
so it’s a mix..

for this one i remeber i was inspired by Fussli..”the nightmare”..but also by an old Degas painting that impressed me for the rouge everywhere..

she’s in trouble yes..
but there is a figure in the right part of the painting..it’s a sort of hero and..there is also her dog that protects her.
