excremental as anything #2
So, yet another irrelevant tee, it’s the original pencil sketch of that rewind thing I did ages ago, then I inverted the graphite and it looks quite good I reckon.

Cool.
Excremental is so right …. it’s very little wonder the damn things disappeared so quickly!!
But enough of my disdain for the cassette tape …. the T is well good!!
Danny
It’s kinda like chalk on a blackboard
very retro
I have some wonderful memories on tape.
good work
different

Lucan, this really works for 2 and a half reasons.
1. The overall shape the design drags the eye right into it, makes you want to see further.
Also, the repeated design further strengthens that ( that`s the half)
2. The Pencil tones, once inverted, reminds me a lot of drawing on the blackboard at school with white chalk., and casette tapes were a large part of that time period for me.
Intentional or not, this has nostalgia written all over it.

I see I`m not alone on the blackboard reference. I also see I type to slow.

Excremental….........nah. Who could forget the frustration and delight at having to rewind and fast forward to exactly the spot you were seeking? They may be long-dead but I still have a box full. Fantastic image and excellent composition…...........the chalky effect gives the illusion of past versus present.
Amanda Cole
thats crazy! great mind think a like!!!! yours are wonderful ! i had this image in my draw and i have been meaning to use it!!... no time like the present!

Bloody nice.
Will you be calling every shirt you design that has no meaning “excremental as anything #x” ?
Lucan Industri...
I had been thinking of it. No, it’s obviously a reference to Nolan’s story, and also to Nolan in a slightly more obscure way, probably everything that I do that has no meaning whatsoever will get this title.
And where have you been sjem?
I still have my Walkman and a huge tape collection, I used to cut abstract shapes out of magazine adverts to make the sleeves with. I fucking loved making tapes for my friends.
Cheers people, for all other words.

What new devilry is this ?
The colour switches to black ink on the white t-shirt.
H M Bascom
You reckon correctly! This is cool.
Lucan Industri...
I know, how fucking cool is that? I was quietly chuffed.
It’s because the image is not pure white, the graphite was obviously a blend from dark to light on some happy greyscale, and therefore an inverted version would be the same but reversed. However it means I can’t have it on coloured tops like red, because the white shows through.
Lucan Industri...
Oh that response was to sjem, I’m not blowing my own trumpet there. Helen just sneaked in.

That Helen is a sneaky one.
Yes it is cool. I was going to suggest you only sell this in black but then I saw how it looked on white.
Danny
I bet Ange buys one of these..
Bets please gentlemen…
Oh Lucan
I use to do that with my tapes too, still have ‘em..
as a matter of fact I may post it as a work of art.
Now that WILL be excremental as anything
H M Bascom

Lurve that texture! Definitely got the blackboard thing working for it. And plain ol’ black and white looks sooo good. x
