A few years ago I learned to draw. It started because a co-worker wouldn’t draw me a dragon. LOL so, I decided to draw one myself. I went to the library and check out books on how to draw. Starting with beginners techniques and then on to theory. Well, today I was looking at some beautiful drawings and paintings of various artists. I realized that I’m still not at the point at want to be. I remembered from Betty Edwards books that she said everyone can do it, and how well depends on how much time and energy you are willing to put into it.
Well, I haven’t been putting in all the practice I should be and if I want to get where I desire to be. If I want to do works like Lynnda Robinson and so many other amazing artists then I have to work for it.
Going back to school is out of the question at this point. I can’t afford it and I live to far away fromt the nearest University. Besides, I started learning from books in the begining. So, it makes sense to continue along a path I recognize. If the opportunity ever comes up for me to learn from a class. You can be guranteed, I will take it.My plan is very simple really. I"m going to go to the library and check out more books and pratice. I’m going to hop around online and find sites that teach drawing/painting/sculpting and I’m gonna pick the brains of my Redbubble friends that have the techniques I’d like to learn. I"m gonna ask y’all alot of questions in which I hope you don’t mind answering. I’m full of questions so let me apologize now if I become a pest. I will try not to bother one person too much. There are a quite a few of you that have such amazing talents and are a wealth of information. I truly hope you don’t mind me picking your brains. Also, to those I will be pestering. Please let me know if I am annoying you too much. I have a lot to learn and I am very eager to learn it.
Thank you for your time and sharing any information with me :0) Y’all are very kind and just some truly amazing talented people.
