Floe comes down to the Mallee tree. by

I was lucky to be home and see Floe so near the house again just on top of the retaining wall along the back Patio. Her new Joey is taking an interest & in the next instant slipped out of the pouch. I have to hide behind the curtain on the Sliding door to take these close-ups. Floe trusts us just so far but not as close as this. Floe loves the bark of this tree and it obviously has some nutriment for these wild animals. Many of the birds tear of strings for nest building. Adelaide Hills, Sth.Australia.

I guess you could call me a shutterbug, I am for ever looking for something to photograph, and experimenting with my camera. Colour lights up my life, children, scenery, the sea in all it’s moods, native flora & fauna etc:- Please feel free to browse through the categories in my profile.

Know how you feel Rita – I spend a lot of time hiding behind curtains as well just waiting for THAT shot ! Your wait was well worth it, lovely image !

  • Thanks for your lovely comments Roy, wild life is just so interesting and now that were retired there is more time to take notice & enjoy. We have a very beautiful Dk. Red and multi-coloured Rosella that comes with it’s mate every day. They are so quick and shy I find it very difficult to capture him but I keep trying. Here’s hoping when the weather starts to warm up I can hide outside.
