Looking from behind the popular rock formation ‘The Bread Knife’ across the vast Warrumbungle Nat. Park, N.S.W. Australia. Great for Camping, trekking, walking, climbing, birds, flora & fauna a great place to get away with children in the big outdoors for exercise, fun, exploring. Instead of Computer games in the school holidays. Spring is a great time to visit.
We went with a couple of good walking friends of ours for over a week, had a wonderful time & were very proud to have made it to the top. We ate our packed lunch on top. It does have degrees of difficulty so we just took them slowly and carefully.
The camping area is way back in the clearing.
So sad to see that it burnt out so disastrously in the recent fires in Coonabarabran. It will of course grow back again but will take a little time.
