A beautiful church built in 1890 is set on a rise in the main street of ‘Hahndorf’ a pretty rural Adelaide Hills town with a German heritage. There are many fascinating galleries, eateries, German bakeries, arts, & crafts of all things imaginable.
‘As you stroll down the avenue of trees planted in 1885 one can imagine what a difference it would have been with lads walking the cows to pasture, people on foot or horseback, carriages & distinctive German wagons bumping along the rutted dirt road.’ This paragraph taken from local brochure.
Now it is full of local visitors and tourists from interstate and around the world a real hub of activity and heavy traffic, a place to certainly put on your bucket list to visit.
