It seems that most larger coastal towns & ports with access to the sea in Australia now have a Dolphin Explorer.
The Explorer takes people down to the entrances to the river where there are most always dolphins hanging around. The river being predominately tidal with many inlets the water is good nearer to the open sea. Higher up there is residue from many boats & larger cargo boats the Dolphins stay where the sea water is freshest and delight the passengers by surfacing around the large Catamaran. Some of them are long time residents and recognizable.
