Adelaide/Eastern Rosella’s come in many shades from dark red chests to orange & yellow, marbled black grey/black back feathers, strong blue wing feathers,blue tail feathers, long tail, strong parrot beaks, They love native flowers along with many flowering trees and take honey from the petals also grass seed eaters. They are very swift in flight and we have clocked them at 65 klm.a.h. They are agile flying in & out of tree branches with speed.
Native to Australia, and different colours in their particular range in coastal areas around Australia. Size range is 25 – 30cm, This bird was in late winter molt.
