These soft fluffy bags are attached to the rigging to protect the sails etc., The ‘Europa’ a Dutch 3 masted Bark had an explanation board that answered a few common questions..

  • Thank you Myra, I was fascinated with the ‘fluffy’ bags not having any idea what they were for.
    We had a wonderful day. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, sat & ate lunch at an outside eatery on the Wharf. Yes it was all happening. Thank you for the Fave Myra. Rita x:)

  • Thank you for the critique Roy. I must admit I thought you would make a crack about the ‘fluffy bags’ but they actually called them that on the explanation board. I had already given them that name but thought it sounded a bit ‘daft’.!!! Rita :)
