When we finally came out on the top looking up the Mannum Gorge I turned and was surprised at how splendid the view was back the way we had come, and the wide rural farming properties shown on either side. It was a lovely mild day but the sun refused to burn away the cloud cover and that would have added to the splendor of the view.
The track partially seen on left of image had risen again up more steps to put us on a higher level & it was uneven at times, narrow and needed attention to stones and big tussocks of grass and herbage but at all times was reasonably easy for the young, fit and experienced walkers. I actually walked close to the edge to take this much to my husbands alarm.
Hinterland on the Adelaide to Mannum road from the City approximate distance 68klm. It can also be accessed from the Murray Bridge to Mannum road. South Australia.
