A VERY MERRY & JOYFUL CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

To all my friends on Red Bubble I thank you all for the support & encouragement I have been given for my work, The good friendships & camaraderie!
I am preparing for a very Happy joyful get together with a very big family with some members from interstate. Last Saturday we all enjoyed the Wedding of another of our seven Granddaughters. Very poignant to see her looking so radiant on her big day.
We are just waiting for the boys to get a move on only one married so far. out of five.
I am looking forward to keeping in touch with you all through RedBubble in the New Year.

Back to our little home on the Prairie.

We have had a varied and great trip of 11 weeks traveling as far as Tin Can Bay Queensland. Not as far as we have been before but so many places we hadn’t yet seen between S.A. & our destination.
We started exploring when we reached ‘Lithgow’ in the Blue Mountains,Victoria. We would have loved to do the Waterfall trail but it was soooo cold and bleak we changed our minds. Instead we explored new ground and enjoyed our 4 day stay.
The waterfall trail this trip was a nonentity it was sooo dry in New South Wales & Queensland that all we found were trickles. Never mind the scenery was well worth the effort and we walked, walked & walked finding many tracks with delights at the end. Queensland was so cold at night we even bought warm bed socks & I haven’…

A Great Day in Brisbane.

We had a very full day on July 13th when Graham from PhotosbyG met us at the railway station in North Boondall and accompanied us to the City, He was a wonderful guide, he had even secured tickets for us to take a guided tour around the City Hall, The Hall built by the people for the People in late 1800’s. It has been recently renovated and was well worth a visit. We stopped for a morning coffee and then on to see more old buildings & facades that have been reserved in the main City center. Such wonderful architecture.
We loved visiting Colin Cambells Memorial garden designed & lobbied by Colon from the well known A.B.C. Gardening show to replace the old railway yards. They are just beautiful.
Then it was off to South Bank along the river walking over a foot bridge and seeing …

Meeting up with RB friends.

Meeting up with Myra and her husband Frank in ‘Maclean’, N.S.W. worked out well. Neither of us had any idea how we each looked but the meeting arrangement went off very well with Myra standing on the corner opposite the Coffee Shop we found from her directions. Not quite waving her arms about but looking intently at each car that passed gave us a clue she was looking for us.
Myra introduced us to her favourite Coffee outlet and phoned Frank to let him know we had arrived. We all got on well together with a visit to Myra & Franks lovely Heritage Trust house, chat in the snug, a walk around the garden and then we all agreed to go out and eat lunch. The weather was great and all in all a good meeting all round.

After moving up the coast and stopping over in Forster/Tuncurry we…

Off to explore this great land again!

We are preparing to set off and leave our hobby farm for up to 10 weeks. We love covering places we have yet to explore in this great land of ours. I will of course be taking my cameras along and look forward in sharing what beauty we find. There are lots of tracks & trails yet to walk.
Please excuse my spasmodic appearance in the many groups I love. The laptop will be with me and when we are in wi-fi range I will endeavor to take part.
Keep up the good work fellow bubblers it is always such a pleasure to peruse other members works….Rita

!

Saturday the 8th March 2014. Janelle & Tim gave their vows to one another before God.
The weather was glorious and all went well. They are both fun loving and have been friends for 4 years. They left the church in a C.F.S. Unit, Tim is a member of the local hills voluntary fire fighting force. The reception was on top of the mountain at Mt. Osmond Golf Club and the scenery & views were beautiful. This photo was taken by me when they were relaxing after the Wedding Feast. We have 7 granddaughters and another is celebrating her Engagement in April. Our eldest out of 5 grandsons celebrated his Wedding in Geelong late November another great family get-together & occasion.
