This is a very simple meditation that I use at least once a day, and would like to share it with everyone.
Firstly, get comfortable and avoid as many distractions as you can.
Close your eyes and let your body relax for a few moments, think about nothing.
Take a long, deep breath in and half way through, think the number 1.
Hold the breath for a second, no longer and as you breath out, think the number 1.
Breath in and think the number 2.
Breath out and think the number 2.
Do this all the way up to 10.
Now come back down, breath in thinking the number 9.
Breath out thinking the number 9.
All the way back down to 1.
Dont worry about distractions to much, sometimes they are unavoidable, you must recognise that the distraction is there. Think about it, dont fight it, and it will quickly pass.
I was so lost one time doing this I went up to 28 before realising what I had done, dont worry, it will happen. If does or you lose count, dont try to think about where you were up to, just start again.
Would love to hear back from anyone how trys this and if how it made them feel afterwards.

I go to a Buddhist monastery every week and practice meditation pretty much the same way as this. It is amazing and when its a good session its so satisfying. Have you ever done this until your legs feel like they are totally detached from the rest of your body?
? A very good written piece.
