I have been painting since 1988, when I was without a television for a while. My professional training is as a recording engineer. I worked as such for years in Austin Texas, which was fun, but I was frustrated artistically by the politics, scheduling, egos, etc. My approach to painting is somewhat analogous to music: bass, rhythm, tones, harmony, and hopefully melody.

Since 97 I’ve been living in Tucson, Arizona, endlessly inspired by the vast, colorful landscapes.

  • Oh that would be so awesome! no I have to admit I used a reference image from an old geography atlas. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the photographer’s name to give them credit.
