The history-maker

You have made history in my heart.
You say the things my heart wishes to say.
How did you become so fluent in me?
Who taught you the language of my heart?
Was it an angel?
For even I, have not yet mastered me.
Nor my mother who bore me.
Did you get a manual from above?
You,
You have made history in my heart.

You have kindled my soul ablaze.
You have made me smile without end.
You have lifted my feet off the ground.
You
You
How could you possibly exist?
You spoke of your fears,
Yet you inspire greater faith,
And you
You have done nothing.
You have done nothing.
Yet you made history in my heart.

_With your mere appearance,

With your faithful smile,
With your sheer silence,
With your simple talk,
With the height of your desires,
With your king-like stride,
With your voice.
With your voice.
With your soothing breathing,
With the waves of your laughter,
With the strength of your hands,
With your army-like appearance,
With your song-like eyes,
With your majestic mind that crowns you._
You did nothing,
Yet you are everything
And you
You
You made history in my heart.

Oh Siki…this write which resonates with me!

Sometimes, it happens that there is just an inexplicable, magical, overwhelming connection where someone happens to understand the ways of our hearts and minds so well, even better than we can ever hope to do ourselves.
I think it is magic when this happens, and we need to embrace it and love it and rejoice in it.

How did you become so fluent in me?
Who taught you the language of my heart?

I LOVE this write, Siki – you composed it just perfectly, thank you!!!
    xx

Oh Siki! I love this. In a poem called loving wordplay I also talk about language of the heart – and in part that came from a song I love (also in the description). This has a much more personal feel than the one I wrote though – for mine was definitely more about wordplay. But when you use the repetitive you technique, I know where you are coming from, because I do something similar in when you are here
Sorry for bombarding you with links, but it feels like serendipity/synchronicity and I love that stuff!!! This is an absolute fave xoxxo

  • :) thank you for including your poems it was an awesome read :) i love that when you come across something you feel and want to discuss the parallels and similarities :)
