Death & Confusion

Only Bone Remains

With works like this I frequently find that everyone has their own interpretation, but mine is…

The figure of Death looms over the world
A woman has been laid out below
Her body skeletal in appearance
Her lips reach to kiss it goodbye
Remnants of death strewn over the land
Only bones remain

lol With works like this I frequently find that everyone has their own interpretation, but mine is… the figure of Death looming over the world (which looks rathjer moon-like lol) ...a woman laid out directly below the world, her lips kissing it goodbye… her body skeletal in appearance. Remnants of death strewn over the land in the foreground…

    Hope that helps lol.

It’s very cool and creative, no doubt about it. How do you do something like this? I love the bones in the foreground.

Oops sorry this was meant to be a reply to your comment: Thanks Tracy, well with this kind of work… my favourite way is to put on some moody music & just see what happens lol – sometimes I start by adding found textures to the canvas & they just “become” something… My subconscious seems to get involved depending on what’s playing on my mind lol – can be kind of cathartic :-)
